“MESSIAH”, parts II & III – the Easter portion

  • Presbyterian Church 425 Spring Street Friday Harbor United States (map)

Doors will open at approximately 6:20 pm for the 7:00 pm performance at Friday Harbor Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 18th. Admittance is complimentary but donations are warmly welcome.  See you there!

G. F. Handel’s Messiah doesn’t end with the Christmas story.  The birth of Jesus Christ is presented in Part I of his masterwork, but the libretto as written by Handel’s friend, Charles Jennens, continues the Biblical account of the life-ministry, trial, crucifixion death, resurrection, ascension, and promised return of the Lord in Parts II and III.

Our spring performances will present the musical scenes felt to best proclaim what is called Christ’s “Passion" with some of the most moving and beautiful, familiar and uplifting choruses and solos—a fitting climax to the Easter season.

SJMC’s youth chorus, NovaStella, will also present some joyful springtime songs for your enjoyment.  This is a concert for the whole family.  Please join us!

San Juan Master Chorale concerts are presented as a gift to the community for donations only. Donation options at the Spring Concert include cash, check and credit card. For more information, contact sjmasterchorale@gmail.com.
